Although unbuilt, this project remains very close to our heart for several reasons-foremost of them being that this was the first newcleus project. TheHunnarshala foundation was to execute a DEWATS project at Rampar village in Kutch and they approached us to design the project in a way that added to the landscape & the village and went beyond just a water treatment project. The site was a narrow bend on the edge of the river. We used the placement & walls of planted filters (an integral part of the water treatment process in DEWATS) to create a walkway which culminated in a stepped seating formed by the natural contours of the site with a water spout that deposited the treated water in a catchment pond. The eventual utcome was a park on river-edge for the village with the DEWATS treating 50,000 Liters of sewage water daily.
