The central idea of the visitor centre is a walk through natural surroundings punctuated with a display that gives a glimpse into Newark’s rich & diverse culture, history, important events & the future directions. The walk is like an event that unfolds slowly making the whole experience a seamless one. The building itself is elevated - clearing the ground level for an open natural walkway. A walkway at a higher level occurs in the building – elevated glass tube which establishes a visual connect with the river & the green foliage around.
